haha i hate when that happens!! ironically this day is not only Angus's birthday but my dogs and my dads
it just means that its meant to be hahaha!
Awesome pics! Especially the second one. ;)
thanksss you guys!
angus is soo cute in that 2nd one!
yeah, he sure looks nice on that 2nd pic. too bad there're not many cute guys taking their pants off out on the street..at least, i've never seen one. it could also depend on the fact that i'm italian (so please forgive me if i mispell some word please :)), and i don't like italian guys period. i envy that girl that got to play dee dee's guitar soooooooo much..i had dinner at the hard rock cafe as well, but all i got was a quick look at the beatles' stage clothes. and i don't even like those guys!
ps. oh, i have a question: who's that man with the baseball cap in pics 6 and 8?
pps. nice journal, nice subjects, nice pictures.. :)
i never knew who that was in 6 and 8
hes fancy though
pps.. THANKS! :)
hes not fancy at all, but i sure like his shirt! i've never been able to find any acdc t-shirt that would fit me..every nice shirt i find is way to big. life is sooo hard for a rockin' rollin' girl..
another question, since you're so kind: how many brothers does angus have? i've heard of alex, george, margaret, and malcolm of course. but i once read in an interview that there were 7 of them..incuding himself i guess.
ps. do you like chuck berry-as a guitarist of course, not as a man..? :) :)
There was actually 8 of them! Believe it or not. lol
Steven (1933), Margaret (1936), John (1938), Alex (1939), William (1941), George (1946), Malcolm (1953), and Angus (1955)
I love Chuck Berry, I saw him on tv once and i thought, Hey no wonder why AC/DC loves him so much, he's so damn good.
Hey, i know what you're sayin about the shirts. I guess people think only guys like AC/DC or something??!
pics 6 and 8 is George Young, there older brother who is also in a rock band, and helped AC/DC get their start, and I believe he did book some shows for them in the very beginning, before Bon!
Really? I never thought it was. I know who George is and what he looks like but I don't think that would be him.
Gosh, Steven is the same age as my grandfather!! 22 years between the first and the last one are really a lot..their parents must have grown quite old, by 1955..no wonder Angus is so tiny, children of aged mothers often are. I'm glad they didn't stop until him, anyway - world would have been such a boring place, without good ole high voltage rock'n roll!
(I once read that Margaret took Angus at a Louis Armstrong's show back when he was a little boy..if I had a brother 19 years younger than me, I sure as hell wouldn't bother carrying him around, but I guess there are lots of better big sisters than I am, out there - I only have one brother, thanks god, and I quite hate him, that lil annoying brat. ;) )
No, seriously..eight children! Imagine having to pick eight first names and eight middle names..no wonder poor Mrs. and Mr. Young had a loss of fantasy at some point and gave two of them their own names (Margaret and William), nor that Angus' middle name is actually a surname (Angus McKinnon Young..that rocks, though!). If I had been in their shoes, I would have given up around 1938, I suppose..
I love Chuck Berry too - he came to Rome last May, and I tried real hard to talk my Mom into giving me permission to go to the show (I live in Milan, that's about 600km far), but she wouldn't and I had to watch it on tv; it was actually embarrassing, because it was a festival, and it seemed like nobody was there for him, or even known who he was. At a certain point he just lost his temper and left the stage midsong. It was awful. I live in a country of goddam ignorant people, they only dig sloppy emo rock and revolting Italian pop..to get to read about decent music, I had to subscribe to the Rolling Stone US. Just can't wait to finish high school and leave this goddam place!
Talking about rock'n roll shows, I'm going to see Jerry Lee Lewis live on next August,24th!! I'm so excited..I love 'The Killer'.He rocks, even at 72.
Talking 'bout shirts..a friend of mine, real tall bloke, has this wonderful shirt with a picture of Angus bendin' low upon his guitar on the front of it; well, that shirt is so big the picture is almost actual size, ha ha! I only have one AC/DC shirt, and I've made it myself - bought one plain white tee and painted High Voltage's cover on it. I like it sooo much, because it's very tiny and so I can tell the world I'm a rocker and still look great with my belly peeping out, he he..
Did you know that AC/DC has NEVER been on the cover of the Rolling Stone? What a shame. A cover with Highway To Hell's cover pic on it would have looked terrific..I like that picture so much. It's hot. Too bad Angus' beautiful blue eyes actually look brown on that picture, god only knows why.
[I guess this is the longest comment ever, but I enjoy chatting with you - girl, you talk sense! so, if you ever want to email me, my address is firstname.lastname@example.org. Ah and my real name is Giulia - friends call me Jules, don't really know why. Your name is Renee, isn't it?]
GAH! Awesome pics! haha, I think it's weird that my dad and Angus have the same birthday! hahaha... However my dad's a few years older than him.
